Our Essential Question: How do we create a graduate profile, with authentic student voice, to guide our school improvement process?
Abeo has had a long-standing relationship with Baker Middle School and Tacoma Public Schools. Abeo coaches have worked closely with the school’s principal and administrative leadership team to develop leadership capacity focused on a student-centered culture.
The school’s most recent learner-centered effort, Baker Middle School’s Graduate Profile, literally put students at the helm. Abeo facilitators met with diverse student focus groups over multiple sessions designed to elicit authentic student voice. The end goal being to create a guiding vision for Baker’s learner-centered community.
Baker Middle School’s Graduate Profile, The Bulldog Way, is at the core of all student and adult work guiding the school’s transformation focused on equitable outcomes for each and every student.
